Bracket Finale mode

How Bracket Finale works in CutClub: regular season rounds lead to a single-elimination tournament.

Bracket Finale splits the season into two phases: a regular season where everyone competes and points accumulate, followed by a single-elimination bracket where the top players go head-to-head. The bracket winner wins the season.

Phase 1: the regular season

The first matchups run exactly like Classic mode. Everyone submits, everyone votes, points stack. These results determine who makes it into the bracket and what position they're seeded at.

Phase 2: the bracket

After the final regular season matchup closes, the top players are seeded into a bracket based on their accumulated points. The default bracket size is 8 players.

From here, it's single elimination:

  • Two players are matched up each round
  • Both submit a cut for the matchup theme
  • The whole club votes, but instead of distributing points, everyone picks which of the two cuts they prefer
  • The player with more votes advances; the other is out
  • This repeats until one player wins the final

Seeding and byes

Players are seeded by their regular season points. If the bracket has more slots than qualified players, top seeds get a bye and automatically advance to the next round.

Ties in the bracket

If a bracket matchup ends in a tie, the higher-seeded player advances.

What if you don't submit in a bracket round

If a player doesn't submit their cut during a bracket matchup, they forfeit and their opponent advances automatically.

How many matchups is this?

It depends on your season length and bracket size. The host sets how many matchups are used for seeding, and the bracket rounds take up the final 2 to 3 weeks of the season.

What if not enough players qualify?

You need at least 4 players to run a bracket. If fewer than 4 players are still active when the bracket phase starts, the season falls back to Classic scoring for the finale: whoever has the most points wins.
